Monday = May 1st = Proverbs Challenge

I am so excited to start the Proverbs Challenge on Monday. I am even more excited that many of  my friends are joining me. Please,if you haven’t already, decide to read a chapter of Proverbs every day for the month of May. You do not need to buy anything–even if you do not own a Bible, you can download a free version on your phone.

I have created a journal, but it is not required to participate in the challenge. I do recommend, however, you dedicate a notebook for note taking; the knowledge found in Proverbs is impossible to memorize in one reading. Try to find verses that strike you as profound and write whatever comes to mind. Afterwards, write a course of action, a goal to achieve, or a habit to change. And as always, start with a prayer to God to open your mind to His wisdom.

Proverbs is about growing as a person. It is about becoming wise.

It’s Almost May!

I am so excited about the upcoming May challenge of reading a chapter of Proverbs every day. I hope you have decided to join me. If you don’t know what I am talking about…read on.

The Book of Proverbs is also called The Book of Wisdom and who doesn’t need a little more wisdom in their lives? The pages a packed with sound advice that everyone needs. Please dare to gain knowledge and wisdom and to invite someone (everyone) to read it with you. The plan is simple: you read the chapter of Proverbs that coincides with the day of the month. So, if you were doing it today, you would read chapter 26.

Also consider going on Amazon and purchasing the journal (link embedded) to help facilitate the process. All, and I repeat, ALL royalties go to providing free copies of this, and all my other journals, to churches in order to promote spending time in God’s Word. If you would like your church to participate, please contact me. I will give more on my new non-profit later, but for now…

Some Mondays are full of hope and some dread. I have both today. Something is bothering me and I am not sure what.

I am pleased to write that David had his last of his thirty radiation treatments this morning. I am grateful that today has come. We have been looking forward to this day for months. But why is something bothering me?

I guess it is because now we wait. When in a war, you accept each battle and prepare for the next. Are we entering a time of peace or merely a ceasefire? I understand and fully accept God has a plan. I also know that with each heart breaking, life wrenching event, I have come out a better person.

Lord, guide my steps, affirm my way. Calm my fears, ease my heart. Sift my thoughts, instill your knowledge. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen. #AskSeekFind
